Police crackdown near pyrmont bridge - 5-0 were cracking down on cyclists again...At the end of the pyrmont bridge - walk up the stairs & then there's a long ramp down to Market street. They're catching people riding down there, slowly, at walking pace. I figure some riders probably thought this is an extension of pyrmont bridge where cycling is expressly allowed. - The signposting could probably be better. - With 2 flights of stairs/escalator obstruction and a clearly defined shared bike path going towards King St at the end of Pyrmont Br, it's pretty obvious that section with the bridge over Sussex St is a footpath, connecting onto Market St footpath. We pay $500 a week for a large 2br apartment which is fairly low for Pyrmont so we are pretty happy with that there are other closer suburbs that i looked at, like pyrmont and woollomoloo, but i decided i didn't want to live that close to work. when say 20 min out of the city, is that by car? or by train/bus? or by foot? the suburb that i can think of for 20 min out of city by foot is pyrmont. Pyrmont Square is a major heritage precinct. Pyrmont Fire Station in Pyrmont Street was designed by the Government Architect, Walter Liberty Vernon, in 1907. Pyrmont became a working class industrial and port community.. |
