At Glebe Markets there used to be a guy there who sold really big wooden photo frames that would hold day 20 or 30 photos - a mix of landscape and portait photos in the one frame - anywhere besides Glebe? - I've only seen them at Bondi or Glebe markets sorry...

If you're looking for a unique, vibrant, energetic (and still largely affordable) suburb that hasn't begun to peak yet, then you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere better than Glebe. Glebe continues it's "transition" after a number of setbacks.
A recent setback for local businesses has been the road works taking place on Glebe Point Road (to remove old tram tracks). Haven Inn Sydney 196 Glebe Point Road, Sydney. Glebe's name derives from the fact that the land on which it was developed was a glebe, originally owned by the Anglican Church.
I quite often visit Glebe (it's about a 20 minute walk from where I work) to visit some of the shops (there's some good bookshops - new and second-hand - there) in fact I was there today. Glebe mini skateboarding ramp is located in Bicentennial Park off Chapman road, in between Glebe and Annandale.
Glebe Point Road is the main road through the suburb, featuring a shopping strip, known for its specialty shops, restaurants and cafés. Glebe surrounds Blackwattle Bay, an inlet of Sydney Harbour, in the north.
