Just moved into Sydney from Melbourne and looking for a suburb to choose - Meadowbank seems too pricey, ryde/west ryde/concorde seem well connected. Are they generally considered safe suburbs? Is carlingford a good suburb in terms of safety? - I live in Concord. Actually border of concord and burwood. Concord is a suburb in the inner west of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The Thomas Walker Convalescent Hospital is opened on occassions by the Concord Heritage Society. Concord also happens to lie close to the bay areas of the Parramatta river so again, the house prices reflect this. Nearby are Public Golf Courses like Massey and Barnwell Park and the Prestiges Concord Golf Club, one of the finest in Sydney (established 1899). Concord is known as the 'Parkland Suburb' of the Inner West. Concord West is a separate suburb, to the north-west...Concord features a small shopping strip on Majors Bay Road. |
